Project Three Planning Questions
1. What problem will you be solving?
2. Who is your audience? BE SPECIFIC.
3. How will you convince your audience that the problem is indeed a problem?
4. How will you demonstrate that it is not just a problem in general, but a problem directly affecting your audience?
5. What solution(s) will you propose?
6. What other solutions are there, and why is your solution better than those?
7. How will you prove that your proposed solution is feasible? How will we implement, pay for, enforce, etc. what you are proposing?
8. What kinds of opposing arguments could others make in response to your proposal? How will you deal with that opposition?
9. What kinds of sources will you need to find to support your claims? BE SPECIFIC.
Assignment for Wednesday, November 3:
- Answer the above questions about your Project Three paper topic. Post these answers as a comment below by 5:00pm on Tuesday, November 2.
- Re-visit this page after 5:00pm on Tuesday, November 2 and read your classmates' responses to these questions. Choose at least one project (not your own) that you're interested in discussing during Wednesday's class. You may want to choose a project whose topic particularly interests you. You may want to choose a topic about which you have questions. Whatever criteria you use, be sure to select at least one project to discuss.
